The 15 semifinalists and five alternates for UW Idol have been selected and will perform at 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, in the University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences auditorium.
All semifinalists will perform a song of their choice and will be evaluated by a panel of three judges. The five alternates will perform a song of their choice during intermission.
Five finalists will be selected to move on to the UW Idol finals, where they will perform two songs of their choice at 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, in the Arts and Sciences auditorium.
One person will walk away with the title of UW Idol and a grand prize of $1,000. Second place will receive a $500 award and third place will receive a $300 award. The audience will vote for its favorite to receive the audience choice award, worth $100.
