More than 300 employees will be honored during Staff Recognition Day, Wednesday, April 20, from 10 a.m.-noon in the Crane Dining Hall. President Tom Buchanan has granted two hours of release time to attend.
"Going Green" is the theme of the annual event that features door prizes, entertainment, years of service recognition and awards to the university's outstanding staff members.
Raffle tickets for a 2011 Electra cruiser bicycle from the Pedal House will be available for purchase at the event, and there will be a silent auction for a five-course dinner for four featuring seasonal fare from Wyoming and Colorado farmer's markets.
A highlight will be the announcement of the Employee of the Year. For the first time, the selection process was open to the entire campus to choose from among the four 2010 Employee of the Quarter recipients.
