Subcontractors and vendors from Wyoming and the region are invited to meet Wednesday, March 23, with the two contractors who were pre-qualified to bid on the High Plains Gasification-Advanced Technology Center (HPG-ATC).
The meeting will be from 4-6 p.m. at the Arundel Building, 7052 Commerce Circle in the Cheyenne Business Parkway. Subcontractors and vendors are encouraged to bring business cards, brochures and other information to exchange with representatives from Worley-Parsons and Burns & McDonnell. Please wait in the lobby until invited into the meeting.
GE Energy and University of Wyoming representatives will not attend.
The HPG-ATC is expected to consist of a small-scale gasification system that would allow UW and GE Energy researchers to develop and validate advanced coal gasification technology solutions for Powder River Basin and other Wyoming coals. The plant is expected to allow engineers to gain experience in advanced coal gasification processes including the uses of synthesis gas that is produced by the gasification process. It also will provide students an opportunity to learn about coal gasification.
