Enjoy the New York Times for Free

The New York Times is available free of charge at several University of Wyoming locations during the fall semester. Academic sponsors provide more than 600 copies of the newspaper every class day.

"The readership program encourages discourse and broadens awareness of national and international events," says Maggie Farrell, dean of libraries. "The program is used in a number of courses to provide current readings on national issues."

The New York Times is available at the following locations:

Arts and Sciences auditorium, Biological Sciences Building, Cheney International Center, Classroom Building, College of Law Building, Coe Library, Education Annex, Engineering Building, Fine Arts Building, Geology Building, Half Acre Gym, Health Science atrium, Kendall House, Old Main, Physical Sciences Building, Ross Hall, Washakie Center and the Wyoming Union.

The program's sponsors are: Academic Affairs; colleges of Arts and Sciences, Education, Engineering and Applied Science, Health Sciences and Law; Ellbogen Center for Teaching and Learning; Environment and Natural Resources; Information Technology; International Programs; UW Libraries; Outreach School; International Programs; the Research Office; Residence Life and Dining Services and the School of Energy Resources.
