Small Business Bookkeeping Course to Begin Oct. 24

A basic bookkeeping course for small businesses will be offered in Casper the week of Oct. 24-27, from 6-8 p.m., at the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Conference Room, 300 S. Wolcott, Ste. 300.

Registration fee for the four-class series is $120. The Wyoming Entrepreneur - SBDC, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce sponsor the course. The course will be taught in four evening sessions. The Oct. 24 session will cover basic bookkeeping functions and essential records. The Oct. 25 session will cover income and expenses, cash vs. accrual accounting and sales tax. The Oct. 26 class will cover financial statements and tax reporting, and the final session on Oct. 27 will cover payroll.

Mary Janousek of Porter, Muirhead, Cornia & Howard will teach the course. She has an associate's degree in accounting and a bachelor's degree in education. She combines her love for bookkeeping and accounting with her passion to teach.
