Monday, Oct. 10, 3 p.m. -- Author Ron Francell discusses his latest book, "The Crime Buffs' Guide to the Outlaw Rockies," American Heritage Center Stock Growers' Room. Free.

Monday, Oct. 10, 7 p.m. -- Art talk and UW Art Museum exhibition "Talismans of Protection from Choson Korea: Antique Locks, Latches, and Key Charms." Free.

Wednesday, Oct. 12, 3-5 p.m. -- National Fossil Day at the UW Geological Museum. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 13, 7 p.m. -- Distinguished Neuroscience Lecture, Room 302, UW Classroom Building. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 13, 5-6 p.m. -- Reception for UW north India art class exhibition, "Tigers and Tagore: Reflections on North India," Gallery 234, lower level of the Wyoming Union. Free.

Friday, Oct. 14, noon -- U.S. Air Force Academy Computer Engineering Professor Daniel J. Pack gives the H.T. Person Homecoming Lecture in Engineering and Applied Science, "Developing Cooperative, Autonomous, & Heterogeneous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles." Free.

Friday, Oct. 14, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Music Department performance "Three Centuries of the Duo," Fine Arts concert hall. Tickets online, $7 l public; $5 students and seniors citizens.

Sunday, Oct. 16, 7:30 p.m. -- Cultural Programs presents Jane Monheit jazz performance, Fine Arts concert hall. Tickets online, $20 public; $15 students and senior citizens.

Thursday, Oct. 13, 3 p.m. -- Gov. Matt Mead speaks at the Keith and Thyra Thomson Honors Convocation, College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 13, 8 p.m. -- Blast from the Past fashion show and 80s-themed Homecoming dance, Wyoming Union Ballroom. Free.

Friday, Oct. 14, 8-10 a.m. -- Breakfast on the lawn, Prexy's Pasture. Free.

Friday, Oct. 14, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. -- ASUW pig roast, Simpson Plaza. Free.

Friday, Oct. 14, 3:30 p.m. -- Speech by former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev, Arena-Auditorium. Free.

Friday, Oct. 14, 7 p.m. -- Homecoming Sing, Arena-Auditorium. Free.

Saturday, Oct. 15, 9:15 a.m. -- Cowboy Walk and Pep Rally, west parking lot, Hilton Garden Inn & UW Conference Center.

Saturday, Oct. 15, 10 a.m. -- Homecoming parade, starts at Ninth and Ivinson streets.

Saturday, Oct. 15, noon -- UW football vs. UNLV, War Memorial Stadium. Ticket prices vary.

Saturday, Oct. 15, 7 p.m. -- UW volleyball vs. New Mexico, UniWyo Sports Complex. Tickets online.
