UW Energy Resources Council to Meet Nov. 18

November 9, 2011

Members of the University of Wyoming Energy Resources Council will hold their regularly scheduled quarterly meeting Friday, Nov. 18, at 8 a.m. at the UW Conference Center at the Hilton Garden Inn in Laramie. They will also meet in a joint session with the UW Board of Trustees.

The council will hear a presentation on the Wyoming Carbon Underground Storage Project, a report on the Hydraulic Fracturing Forum, an update on the master's degree in energy economics and other topics.

The Clean Coal Task Force will convene upon adjournment of the ERC meeting to discuss the status of projects, among other items.

The ERC, whose members are representatives from industry, government and academia, was established by the 2006 Wyoming State Legislature. It provides direction to the School of Energy Resources on priorities for research and outreach.

The UW School of Energy Resources (SER) provides undergraduate and graduate education, conducts research on existing and emerging energy resources and disseminates scientific engineering and economic information to support Wyoming's near- and long-term energy future.

Persons with disabilities requiring special accommodations to attend this meeting should contact SER at (307) 766-6851.
