GRO-Biz Conference and Idea Expo for Small Business Owners Feb. 22-23 in Laramie
February 9, 2012 — Small business owners have the opportunity to succeed in selling their service, supplies or construction to various branches of government at the 2012 GRO-Biz Conference and Idea Expo Feb. 22-23, at the University of Wyoming Conference Center in the Laramie Hilton Garden Inn.
Contracting with federal, state or local government entities is the goal of the 10th annual conference. Success strategies for business such as digital or traditional marketing/sales, financial management, strategic planning, and business operations and management will be discussed.
The conference offers workshops and networking with more than 50 federal and state government agency representatives.
Conference partners are U.S. Sen. Mike Enzi and staff; United States Small Business Administration; UW's Wyoming Entrepreneur/Small Business Development Center/Procurement Technical Assistance Center/Market Research Center; and Wyoming Business Council.
"This 10th conference is an excellent opportunity for small business owners, representatives of small business interest groups, and federal agencies to continue to dialogue about federal government procurement opportunities," Enzi says in a media release.
He adds that the expo enables small business owners the opportunity to network with people who make the buying decisions for state and federal governments.
"To the government contracting officers, thank you for attending the conference and working to fulfill the government's goal of increasing purchases from small businesses, especially in Wyoming," Enzi says.
Registration is $185 for participants. For more information, call Jeff Sneddon, Wyoming Small Business Development Center business adviser, at (307) 234-3203.
