Buying and Selling a Business Topic of Douglas Seminar

March 13, 2012 — A seminar on "How Do I Buy or Sell a Business?" will be offered Tuesday, March 20, from 6-8 p.m. at the Eastern Wyoming College Douglas campus, 203 North 6th St.

The University of Wyoming Entrepreneur Small Business Development Center (WSBDC) and Eastern Wyoming College host the seminar for entrepreneurs who are considering buying a business or are ready to move out of their existing business. Participants will learn what information is necessary to make the decision; how to value a business; roles professional advisers play in negotiations; and how to best negotiate and close the deal.

Leonard Holler, WSBDC Region III director, will teach the class. He is an active CPA and is a certified valuation analyst who does business valuations.    

Wyoming Entrepreneur is a business consulting group consisting of the WSBDC, Procurement Technical Assistance Center and Market Research Center.

The WBDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Additional support comes from the Wyoming Business Council and UW.
