University Wyoming student Breanna Richardson will have her first young adult fiction novel, "Destitution," published in March.

A romantic adventure that takes eight young women from the slums into the world of high society is the theme of a new book written by University Wyoming student Breanna Richardson of Glenwood Springs, Colo.

While she is currently completing her bachelor's degree in secondary education and Spanish, Richardson finished "Destitution," her first young-adult fiction novel. The book will be published this month by Martin Sisters Publishers.

The life as lower classmen and daughters of a notorious thief was simple for the Quartar daughters. When accidental mishaps occurred with the other classes of society, their dirt-poor lives turn from worse to better. At first they only find betrayal, suffering, scandal, revenge and corruption. But soon, they are wrapped into the grandest scandal their country of Galli has ever seen.

"I started writing the book when I was a sophomore in high school. I have always had a passion for writing since I was very young," Richardson says. "This book is for either gender and for anyone over the age of 13."

Richardson plans to continue to write stories while finishing her education at UW.
