October 15, 2012 — Richard DelaCastro, a consultant with more than 25 years of experience in the profession, has been named director of the University of Wyoming Department of Human Resources effective Oct. 29. He has served as interim director since July.
“Rick has done an exceptional job and demonstrated the skills and expertise that we are seeking in a full-time director,” says Mark Collins, UW interim vice president of administrative operations. “I’m confident that he will provide the leadership that we need for this important position at UW.”
DelaCastro will lead the planning, development and administration of all aspects of human resources, including employment, compensation/classification, benefits, performance management (classified staff), employee relations and human resources information systems.
