Monday, Oct. 15, 4:30 p.m. -- A discussion panel featuring UW and Shanghai University faculty on “Understanding the China-U.S. Challenge: Globalization, Economic Development and a Future of Shared Dependence,” UW Arts and Sciences Building Room 210. Free.  

Monday, Oct. 15, 7 p.m. -- Scenic artist John Ezell discusses his work, Visual Arts Building Room 111. Ezell leads a gallery tour Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 10:30 a.m. in the UW Art Museum. Free.

Monday, Oct. 15, 7 p.m. -- Philip L. Barlow, Arrington Chair of Mormon History and Culture, Utah State University, will speak on "The Role the KJB Played in Mormonism and the Settlement of the West," as part of the Manifold Greatness exhibition, Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom. Free.

Tuesday, Oct. 16, noon-4 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 17, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. -- Public tours of the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center, North Range Business Park, Cheyenne. Free.

Tuesday, Oct. 16, 4 p.m. -- Author Christopher Emdin discusses ways to get children motivated for science, Berry Center auditorium. Free.

Tuesday, Oct. 16, 7 p.m. -- Mental Health Awareness event: “Dating Demystified” discussion with author Adam LoDolce, Wyoming Union Ballroom. Free.

Wednesday, Oct. 17, 8 p.m. -- The film, “Dream Theater” by Teton Gravity Research, can be seen in the UW Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 18, 4:10 p.m. -- UW Professor Kris Utterback will speak on "Jerome's Vulgate Translation: The First People's Bible," as part of the Manifold Greatness exhibition, American Heritage Center Stock Growers Room. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 18, 6:30 p.m. -- 2012 Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson speaks, Education auditorium. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 18, 7 p.m. -- Cowgirl volleyball vs. Air Force, UniWyo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for UW students.

Thursday, Oct. 18, 7:30 p.m. -- The Collegiate Chorale performs, Fine Arts concert hall. Tickets cost $10 for the public, $7 for seniors, $6 for students.

Friday, Oct. 19, 5 p.m. -- Artist Cal Brackin's “Such is Life” exhibition closing reception, Wyoming Union Gallery 234. Free.

Friday, Oct. 19, 9 p.m. -- UW “So You Think You Can Dance” competition, Education auditorium. Free.

Saturday, Oct. 20, 6 p.m. -- Annual Bootlegger Ball gala event sponsored by the UW Art Museum. For reservations, call (307) 766-5242.
