Student applications are now being accepted for the University of Wyoming’s 2013 alternative spring break (ASB).

Students can sign up in Room 006 of the Wyoming Union or visit www.uwyo.edu/slce/ and click the “Alternative Breaks” tab in the left column.

UW has arranged projects in six different service sites: Trinidad, Guatemala, Jamaica, Utah, San Diego and New York City. The trips will take place during UW’s spring break March 16-23.

“The ASB program offers a variety of opportunities to serve in other states and countries around the world,” says Hannah McGuire, ASB coordinator. “Focusing on community development, sustainability, women’s rights, homelessness, hunger and cultural awareness, ASB exposes students to other places and cultures through service projects.”

The Service, Leadership and Community Engagement office sponsors the event.
