January 25, 2013 — The University of Wyoming Department of Music opens the spring Faculty Recital Series with “Odds and Ends” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, in the Fine Arts concert hall. The performance is free and open to the public.
"Odds and Ends" features faculty members Blake McGee, clarinet; Scott Turpen, saxophone; and Chi-Chen Wu, piano. They will perform a diverse program of literature from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries for clarinet, saxophone and piano trio. The faculty members also will perform as duos for clarinet-piano and saxophone-piano, and unaccompanied works.
The next performance in the spring Faculty Recital Series is at 3 p.m. Feb. 3, with “Backstage Stories.”
