Marie Curie Portrayed in Women’s History Month Program Tuesday

March 7, 2013 — Actress Susan Marie Frontczak will perform “Manya, The Living History of Marie Curie” Tuesday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Wyoming College of Education auditorium. There is a suggested $5 donation. The event is open to the public.

“Manya” is a Women’s History Month program to honor women in science.

Marie Curie is known for her discovery of two elements, polonium and radium; and her pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only woman to win the award in two different fields -- physics and chemistry.

For more information, contact Cecelia Aragon, UW Department of Theatre and Dance associate professor, at (307) 766-2769 or email ccaragon@uwyo.edu.
