An Austin, Texas-based band, The Lonesome Heroes, returns to perform during the University of Wyoming Summer Programs concert series Wednesday, July 17, from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. in Simpson Plaza.
Band members Rich Russell and Landry McMeans’ music is a mixture of western Americana and a cross-pollination of rock, folk and country with an indie pop sound.
“Their influences from Texas and Brooklyn backgrounds make their music an exciting experience,” says Patricia Rader, UW Summer Programs coordinator. “It’s the soundscape that occurs when indie rock and country artfully cross paths.”
