FFA Chapters to Host Canned Good Trick or Treat on Halloween

October 22, 2013

Members of the University of Wyoming Collegiate FFA chapter and the high school Snowy Range FFA chapter will trick or treat for canned goods or other non-perishable items on Halloween.

“If you were planning to donate to the Laramie Soup Kitchen but haven’t had the time to make your delivery, then have some non-perishables ready for pickup on Halloween,” says Kris Brewer, UW collegiate FFA adviser. Brewer says the FFA chapters plan to start around 5 p.m. and end by 8 p.m. The students will split into small groups, starting on the north end of town and ending toward the south end.

“We can’t really pick a better event to involve UW students, high school students and the community,” Brewer says. “Overall, this event helps the community, and the students also have the opportunity to have some Halloween fun while doing it.”

If you are not going to be at your residence Oct. 31, or if the FFA groups do not make it to your residence and you would still like to donate, call Brewer at (307) 766-6645.
