These are among activities scheduled Oct. 14-20 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, Oct. 14-Friday, Oct. 25, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. -- Japanese “Between Waters” exhibition can be seen in Gallery 234, Wyoming Union lower level. Free.

Tuesday, Oct. 15, 7 p.m. -- Sherman Alexie, a poet, writer and filmmaker, will give a public lecture and sign books in the UW College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Wednesday, Oct. 16, 4-6 p.m. -- Celebrate National Fossil Day at the University of Wyoming’s Geological Museum. Free.

Wednesday, Oct. 16, 6:30-8 p.m. -- Learn how to make jerky in the Animal Science Building, Room 136. Fee is $5.

Thursday, Oct. 17, 4:30-5:30 p.m. -- Fang-chih Irene Yang, a professor at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, will speak about East Asian pop culture in the Classroom Building, Room 310. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 17, 7:30 p.m. -- The Collegiate Chorale will perform in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Tickets cost $10 for the public, $7 for senior citizens and $6 for students.

Friday, Oct. 18, 3 p.m. -- Cowgirl soccer vs. Fresno State at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

Friday, Oct. 18, 6:30 p.m. -- “The Conjuring” will show in the Wyoming Union Family Room. Additional screenings will show at 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Free.

Friday, Oct. 18, 7:30 p.m. -- Award-winning Gaelic singer and instrumentalist Julie Fowlis will perform at the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Tickets cost $24 for the public and $20 for UW students.

Friday, Oct. 18, 9 p.m. -- The award-winning Golden Dragon Acrobats will perform in the Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Saturday, Oct. 19 -- Tri-Delta's 24-hour pancake breakfast fundraiser for St. Jude at 1616 Sorority Row (Tri Delta House). Fee is $5.

Saturday, Oct. 19, noon -- Cowboy football vs. Colorado State at War Memorial Stadium. Ticket prices vary.

Sunday, Oct. 20, 1 p.m. -- Cowgirl soccer vs. San Jose State at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

Sunday, Oct. 20, 3 p.m. -- Diverse faculty showcase recital in the Buchanan Center for Performing Arts concert hall. Free.
