Guatemalan Genocide Survivor to Speak at UW Thursday

A genocide survivor will speak about the 2013 genocide trial in Guatemala City, Guatemala, during a series of events Wednesday, Nov. 13-Friday, Nov. 15, at the University of Wyoming.

Anselmo Roldán Aguilar, who will share his story of survival, is the president of the Association for Justice and Reconciliation in Guatemala. His free public talk is from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the Wyoming Union Ballroom.

The schedule of events is:

Wednesday, Nov. 13, 7:30 p.m. -- Meet and greet at 1553 Inca Drive. Open to the public, but RSVP is requested by emailing wygap@live.com.

Thursday, Nov. 14, noon-1 p.m. -- Student roundtable luncheon in Room 229 of the Cheney International Center, open to UW graduate and undergraduate students. RSVP to wygap@live.com.

Thursday, Nov. 14, 2-4 p.m. -- Roldán Aguilar’s talk in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. Open to the public.
