Pink Prom Dance Friday at UW

“Pink Prom,” an LGBTQ friendly dance, is scheduled Friday, March 6, at 9 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. The free event is open to both students and the public.

“Never made it to prom? Were you unable to take the date you wanted? Mark your calendar for ‘Pink Prom’ and travel back in time to dance the night away with the Greek gods,” says Cassie Herndon, Campus Activities Center marketing intern. “Grab a date or come alone dressed in your favorite semi-formal attire and enjoy the catered food and great music. While the theme is Greek mythology, togas are not allowed.”

The event is sponsored by Friday Night Fever, student group Spectrum and the Associated Students of UW.

Friday Night Fever also will show the film “Into the Woods” the same night at 6:30, 9 and 11:30 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Family Room. Starring Anna Kendrick, Meryl Streep and Chris Pine, “Into the Woods” is a tale about a witch that tasks a childless baker and his wife to find magical items from classic fairy tales to reverse a curse put on their family tree.
