Pop-comedy singer Kevin Yee will perform Friday, Oct. 9, at 9 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom as part of UW Ally Week.
Ally Week encourages students to be allies with the LGBTQ community to stand against bullying, harassment and name-calling.
Sponsored by Friday Night Fever, the Oct. 9 event is free and open to students and non-students.
An advocate for LGBTQ rights, Yee started his music career at the age of 15 when he signed his first recording contract with QWEST/WB records. As an actor, Yee has performed in “Wicked,” “Mamma Mia” and the original Broadway cast of “Mary Poppins.”

Friday Night Fever also will show “Minions” in the Wyoming Union Family Room at 6:30 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Movie showings are free and open to all UW students.
