These are among the activities scheduled Oct. 12-18 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, Oct. 12-Friday, Oct. 16 -- This week is the College of Law’s Law Week.

Monday, Oct. 12, 3:10 p.m. -- The Department of Geology and Geophysics Distinguished Lecturer Series presents Meghan Miller. She will discuss “Geodesy for Science Innovation and Impact” in the S.H. Knight Geology Building, Room 216. Free.

Tuesday, Oct. 13, 7:30 p.m. -- The Department of Music’s Faculty Recital Series presents guest saxophonist Clifford Leaman. This event is in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts recital hall. Free.

Wednesday, Oct. 14, noon -- “Spaghetti Meet Up: Team Building and Networking,” an event hosted by Women in Math, Science and Engineering (WiMSE), will take place in the Wyoming Union, Room 212. Free. RSVP to wimse@uwyo.edu.

Wednesday, Oct. 14, noon -- Law Week presentation, “The Resolution of Conflict in Ireland.” College of Law Building, Room 178. Free.

Wednesday, Oct. 14, 4 p.m. -- Free games in Pete’s Game Room in the lower level of the Wyoming Union.

Wednesday, Oct. 14, 7 p.m. -- Iron Skull’s annual Homecoming Sing in the Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Wednesday, Oct. 14, 8 p.m. -- The Student Activities Council and Cowboy Country Swing Club host a Homecoming dance featuring Ryan Chrys and the Rough Cuts. Free country swing dance lessons will start at 8 p.m. with live music at 9 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Ballroom.

Thursday, Oct. 15, 3 p.m. -- Homecoming car push up the southwest ramp at War Memorial Stadium.

Thursday, Oct. 15, 5 p.m. -- Rainbow Leadership Series presents “Make the Commitment” in the Wyoming Union, Room 202. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 15, 6:30 p.m. -- Richard Notkin art talk in the Visual Arts Building, Room 111. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 15, 6:30 p.m. -- UW Associate Professor Ulrich Adelt will speak on “Struggle with a Foreign Tongue: David Bowie in Berlin” in the American Heritage Center. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 15, 7 p.m. -- Studio WYO presents Hectic Hobo in the Wyoming Union Gardens. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 15, 7 p.m. -- Photo exhibition on Denver women in the sex industry opens with a public reception and presentations in Coe Library, Room 506. Free.

Friday, Oct. 16, 11 a.m. -- ASUW hosts pig roast and trivia bowl in Simpson Plaza. Free.

Friday, Oct. 16, 3 p.m. -- The College of Engineering and Applied Science 2015 H.T. Person Homecoming Lecture features Colter Reed, senior software engineer at Apple Inc. and UW alumnus. Reed will discuss “Debugging Your Life: Applying the same principles that are used to improve the quality of software to improve the quality of your life” in the Classroom Building, Room 129. Free.

Friday, Oct. 16, 4 p.m. -- Keith and Thyra Thomson Honors Convocation in the Arts and Sciences auditorium. Mark Jenkins, adventurer and contributing writer for National Geographic, is the keynote speaker. Free.

Friday, Oct. 16, 4 p.m. -- Cowboys swimming and diving vs. the University of Denver. Corbett Building.

Friday, Oct. 16, 4:10 p.m. -- Warren Skidmore of the Thirty Meter Telescope Observatory Corp. will discuss the scientific capabilities and engineering challenges of the $1.6 billion Thirty-meter Telescope project, Physical Sciences Building Room 234. Free.

Friday, Oct. 16, 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. -- Friday Night Fever presents “Ant-Man” in the Wyoming Union Family Room. Free to UW students with ID.

Friday, Oct. 16, 7 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “Science and Science Fiction.” A Best of U2 laser light show follows at 8:10 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.
