UW Art Museum Accepts Works for Juried Student Exhibition

November 18, 2015

The official call for entries is available online for the University of Wyoming Art Museum’s 41st annual Juried UW Student Exhibition in the spring.

Students have until Friday, Dec. 18, to submit up to three works for consideration at www.callforentry.org. The exhibition will be on view at the UW Art Museum from Feb. 13-March 19, with an opening reception and awards ceremony from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12.

A variety of cash and purchase awards are available through the juried exhibition. Awards will be announced at 6:30 p.m. during the opening reception.

The annual Juried UW Student Exhibition is open to any student enrolled at UW during the current academic year. The exhibition also is open to any in-state student enrolled through the UW Outreach School. UW students on campus and statewide are encouraged to submit their original artwork for consideration.

Students are encouraged to submit original artwork, including paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, graphic design, ceramics and mixed media. Images of artwork selected for the exhibition will be archived by UW Libraries online repository.

A juror from outside Wyoming is selected each year to choose artwork for the exhibition. This year’s juror is Dan Mills, Bates College Museum of Art director.

For more information about the Juried UW Student Exhibition, call Janine Reinhardt, UW Art Museum administrative assistant, at (307) 766-3477 or email jreinha2@uwyo.edu.
