Thousands of audio tracks, sound effects, stock video clips, motion backgrounds and After Effects templates are now available free to University of Wyoming employees and students.

The Videoblocks Company offers the tools to UW through its education program. To access the content, click http://education.videoblocks.com/uwyo/ and then click either the Videoblocks or Audioblocks logo. Then, you’ll be granted quick access into downloading the free content. Users must access the site while on campus because authorization is granted based on location.

Through the agreement, UW faculty, staff and students can download as much creative content as they like, as long as it is saved to a single computer and not onto a shared server. If finished pieces are uploaded to sites such as YouTube and Facebook, no attribution to the content is needed.

Launched in 2013, Videoblocks and Audioblocks are an online database that provides members with unlimited downloads of stock video, audio clips, templates and motion backgrounds. The site was established to provide multimedia producers with professional yet affordable stock content to enhance productions.

Each member has access to an archive of more than 115,000 studio quality clips that is valued at nearly $10 million. The archives are consistently updated with new content and, to date, the site has had more than 35 million downloads.
