UW Gallery 234 Exhibition ‘Illustrated Tales’ on Display

The exhibition “Illustrated Tales” is on display through Thursday, Dec. 10, in the University of Wyoming Gallery 234, located in the lower level of the Wyoming Union. A reception is planned Friday, Dec. 4, at 5 p.m.

The show features artwork by UW Department of Art and Art History students in the “Fine Art Illustration” class, a new course taught by Ricki Klages, department head and professor of painting. The exhibition is a result of an assignment in which each student developed a full-color illustration to accompany a fairy tale, folk tale or fable of his or her choice.

The student artists whose works are on display are Michala Drum, Quinn Goldhammer, Victoria Hollingsworth, M.J. Jacobs, Shay Neville, Cassidy Newkirk, Emily Pariseau, Erica Ramsey, Hannah Sease, Katrina Smith, Kyle Summerfield, Lucas Watkins, Chalice Weichman and Kathryn Yarkosky.
