The University of Wyoming Art Museum will host a booth at the Laramie Farmers Market downtown Friday, Aug. 26, from 3-7 p.m., followed by the “After Hours Community Picnic” at Laramie’s Depot Park from 7-10 p.m.
At the Art Museum booth, participants can make and take free seed bomb sculptures to plant. After the market concludes, the public is invited to join the Art Museum for an old-fashioned community picnic that includes free lawn games and entertainment by Dance in Unlikely Places. Local food trucks and vendors will be available with food and beer for purchase until dark.
That night, participants will have the opportunity to go on a bug tour and view the installation “Love Motel for Insects: Laramie Depot Park Variation and Pollinator Garden” with artist and biologist Brandon Ballengée. Participants are encouraged to bring flashlights and blankets.
For more information, call the Art Museum at (307) 766-6622, visit the website at www.uwyo.edu/artmuseum, or follow the museum on Facebook.
