High school juniors can get a head start in their academic pursuits by engaging in a unique summer experience with the University of Wyoming’s College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Applications are being accepted for the 2017 Engineering Summer Program, hosted on the UW campus. The application deadline is March 31.

The program, scheduled June 18-24, challenges the imaginations of students and develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This is a competitive program that engages students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and extracurricular engagement while in school, says UW College of Engineering and Applied Science K-14 Program Coordinator Teddi Hofmann.

Those selected through the competitive application process will have the chance to participate in exciting and innovative activities, such as building digital circuits, programming robotic devices and designing timber trusses.

To apply, visit www.uwyo.edu/ceas/resources/outreach/programs/esp/. Students need to review the application checklist to ensure full consideration for participation.

For more information, call Hofmann at (307) 766-4236 or email thofmann@uwyo.edu.
