Holiday performances by University of Wyoming musicians are featured in a special episode of Wyoming PBS’s “Wyoming Chronicle” show that premieres this weekend.

A Wyoming PBS crew taped the performances last week, including Saturday’s UW Gala Holiday Concert and individual groups and ensembles in the new recital hall of the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts. Featured groups include the UW Symphony Orchestra, the Singing Statesmen, the Wind Symphony, Bel Canto Women’s Chorus, the Collegiate Chorale, the Happy Jacks and the Jazz Combo.

The show will air on Wyoming PBS Saturday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. It repeats Sunday, Dec. 18, at 12:30 p.m.; Monday, Dec. 19, at 9 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 24, at 9 p.m.

In addition to the performances, the show features a welcome from UW President Laurie Nichols and interviews with UW Department of Music faculty members.
