Calling itself a “psychedelic desert” rock band, Wyoming’s Elk Tongue will perform in the University of Wyoming Summer Programs concert series Wednesday, July 12, from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. on Simpson Plaza. The event is free and open to the public, and food will be available for purchase.
Not to be confused with the body part of the North American mammal, Wyoming’s Elk Tongue was formed by four friends to create a fusion of sounds, and to share love of psychedelic rock and roll.
Being from various musical backgrounds drives them to create environments reminiscent of the past and the future, according to the musicians. Group members are Keaton Elsasser, Shawn Hess, Seth Leininger and Dylan Stowers.
