The environmental health and safety director of U.S. onshore exploration and production for Anadarko Petroleum will discuss his career with University of Wyoming Master of Business Administration (MBA) students Friday, April 20, in the College of Business.

Korby Bracken will discuss his critical role for one of the world’s largest independent oil and natural gas exploration and production companies as part of the MBA Program’s Executive Speaker Series.

Early in his career, Bracken held a position with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality as part of the new source review permitting group, where he developed his interest in the air quality field. He later worked for consulting firms emphasizing the oil and gas sector permitting and compliance.

Bracken currently serves as the co-chair for Colorado Oil and Gas Association’s air quality subcommittee, and is an active member of Western Energy Alliance, Petroleum Association of Wyoming and Rocky Mountain EHS Peer Group.

Bracken received his chemical engineering degree from UW. He also holds a professional environmental engineer certification and currently is completing his MBA degree from UW.

The MBA Program’s Executive Speaker Series, this spring, allows UW MBA students the opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions and receive real-world learning experiences from a group of diverse industry leaders, including CEOs, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, financial service representatives and sports industry executives.

The UW MBA Program is accepting applications for the 2018 fall semester and will admit qualified students on a rolling basis until the cohort group is filled or June 30, whichever comes first, says Tanner Parmely, MBA Program coordinator.
