The University of Wyoming’s Phi Lambda Sigma chapter will host its 13th annual “Fall into Good Health Fair” Saturday, Oct. 5, from 8 a.m.-noon in the Wyoming Union Ballroom.
Phi Lambda Sigma is the professional fraternity that promotes leadership for future pharmacists.
“Learn about various aspects of your health that your local health care professional can assist you with,” says Megan Meier, a third-year UW pharmacy student from Colorado Springs, Colo., and Phi Lambda Sigma’s treasurer and marketing chair.
Several local businesses will have booths in the Wyoming Union Ballroom with giveaways.
Free services offered during the health fair include: flu shots; lipid panel screening; a children’s corner; asthma counseling; medication counseling; a medication take-back; hemoglobin A1C screening; and osteoporosis screening. A low-cost, full blood panel screening also will be available.
For more information, email Meier at mmeier6@uwyo.edu or Kristyn McKnight at kmcknig1@uwyo.edu.
