UW College of Engineering and Applied Science Dean Search Continues

Following substantial progress made last spring, the search for a new dean of the University of Wyoming’s College of Engineering and Applied Science was reactivated in October.

Partnering with a diverse search committee, Parker Executive Search leads a national search for this key leadership position. The job posting has been published in at least 12 key venues.

The College of Engineering and Applied Science Dean Search Committee consists of: Ivan Gaetz (chair), dean of UW Libraries; Vladimir Alvarado, head of the Department of Chemical Engineering; Mike Borowczak, an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science; Anthony Denzer, head of the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering; Ray Fertig, an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Jeff French, an assistant professor in the Department of Atmospheric Science; Lamia Goual, an associate professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering; Rochelle Hayes, a senior office associate in UW Libraries; and Mary Ivanoff, chief of staff in the Office of the President.

Also on the search committee are: Ann Jones, associate director of career services in the college; Holly Krutka, executive director of the School of Energy Resources; Joe Leimkuhler, chief operating officer of Beacon Offshore Energy, of Louisiana; Dr. Joe McGinley, founder of McGinley Orthopedic Innovations LLC, of Casper; Suresh Muknahallipatna, a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering; Ann Peck, a senior lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Bruce Pivic, owner of Infinity Power and Controls, of Rock Springs; and John Small, senior associate vice president for development with the UW Foundation.
