About Us

The Wyoming Seed Certification Service is a function of the Wyoming Agricultural Experiment Station of the University of Wyoming. The authority for seed certification comes from the Wyoming Seed Law. Standards are developed by the Association of Official Seed Certifying Agencies (AOSCA) whose authority comes from the Federal Seed Act.

The Wyoming Seed Certification Program is dedicated to providing top-tier certification services to seed growers in the state. Our mission is to meet the requirements of AOSCA and state standards while also addressing the educational, research, and service needs of our clients. We thoroughly inspect seed fields to ensure compliance with standards and use data from field inspections and lab analysis to make certification decisions. Only seed lots that meet or exceed the standards receive certified tags. We use rigorous inspection protocols and advanced lab techniques to ensure the highest quality standards, safeguarding the interests of seed growers. The Wyoming Seed Certification Program is committed to supporting seed growers and promoting a thriving seed industry through reliable certification, education, and service.
