“We Are Wyoming” was the 2014 Homecoming theme. The week of festivities kicked off
Oct. 11 with The Big Event, where UW gave back to the Laramie community through service
projects. The week continued with a variety of events and student competitions around
campus and town, including downtown community window painting, Homecoming sing, car
push and spirit relay. The UW Alumni Association welcomed the class of 1964 home with a 50-year reunion luncheon and also hosted receptions
honoring the 2014 Distinguished Alumni and Medallion Service Award recipients. Grand
Marshals Rod and Maxine Chisholm kicked off the parade on Saturday morning that included
more than 75 entries. Homecoming came to a close with the Wyoming versus San Jose
State football game.
