How to Create Breadcrumbs

What are breadcrumbs?

Breadcrumbs are a type of Dynamic Navigation typically used for every page except the home page. By showing a navigation trail from the home page to the current page, breadcrumbs ensure that visitors know where they are and how they got there.

Breadcrumbs

Implementing Breadcrumbs on your site:

Breadcrumbs are applied at the folder level.

For example: 'kb', is a folder within our site that we've set to display as 'Knowledge Base' in the breadcrumbs with the steps below:

  • First, select the folder
  • Under the folder, select the 'Edit' Tab
  • Under the Edit Tab, you will see a Inline Metadata section:
  • Within the Inline Metadata, include a Title that will be displayed as the breadcrumb.
  • Submit your page. Be sure to test it on the development server as explained in How to Publish
