The California State University Northridge Center on Disabilities works to improve the world for people with disabilities by providing field training in the area of assistive technology.

ATTO provides information on AT applications that help students with disabilities learn in elementary classrooms.

Accessible Product Sites

Bookshare.org Library
BookShare is an online searchable database of accessible books, textbooks, newspapers and periodicals for individuals with print disabilities. Eligible students can request and download books at no cost.

NIMAS
NIMAS is a publishing standard that guides the production and electronic distribution of digital versions of textbooks and other instructional materials so they can be more easily converted into accessible formats.

AltFormat
AltFormat is an independent portal focusing on how developments in the production of alternative format materials are transforming the education of visually impaired and dyslexic students of all ages.

American Printing House for the Blind
APH is the world's largest nonprofit organization creating educational, workplace, and independent living products and services for people who are visually impaired.

Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic
RFB&D is an audio-textbook library for students with disabilities such as visual impairment or dyslexia. Titles are available in every subject area and grade level.

NIMAC
The National Instructional Materials Access Center (NIMAC) is a repository for publisher files that are in the NIMAS format. These raw source files are available to State Coordinators for the production of core instructional materials in specialized formats or for assignment to Accessible Media Producers (AMPs).

ABLEDATA
ABLEDATA is an online searchable database that provides information about assistive technology products and rehabilitation equipment available from domestic and international sources. ABLEDATA can be searched by anyone seeking device or software information, vendors that sell products, or specific device features.

The Alliance for Technology Access
ATA is a national network of assistive technology resource centers, individual and organizational associates, and technology vendors and developers. ATA focuses solely on technology for people with disabilities, working on the national and local levels.

Adapt World
Adapt World is a buyer's guide and AT product information resource.

Disability Resource Directory
The Disability Resource Directory is a searchable database for assistive technology resources including communications, educational, rehabilitation and research institutions as well as manufacturers and vendors.

Wyoming Department of Education
The Department website provides links to programs and information for people seeking educational information specific to the state of Wyoming.

Teacher Tube
Teacher Tube is an online community for sharing instructional videos. This site connects teachers with other teachers, and contains an extensive collection of video resources on educational topics.

508 Portal
A blog (web log) about accessibility and disability which chronicles the award-winning practices of 508 accessibility associates, many of whom have disabilities, as well as best practices exhibited by partners, colleagues, and other accessibility leaders.
