ON-CAMPUS

NETWORK OF WOMEN

UW Campus Breastfeeding Program

There are five on-campus rooms that have been identified for new mothers who need access to a private space to pump breast milk in the Wyoming Union 208, Health Sciences 299, College of Agriculture 244, Knight Hall 219 and the Early Care and Education Center 138. For more information on the program contact Human Resources, 766-2438.

The Survivor's Circle

A support group for survivors of sexual violence.  Alternate Tuesdays from 630pm-8pm.  CETC Clinic Group Room (Education Building, Room 44) Sign up in the STOP Violence Office (Knight Hall 118) or just come to a meeting!  For more information about The Survivor's Circle or other support for survivors of sexual violence, visit www.uwyo.edu/stop or Contact the STOP Violence program at 307-766-3296.

 

Women's Action Network

Fosters awareness and activism about gender issues. The group participates in numerous activities throughout the year including V-day and the Vagina Monologues.  womens-action-network@uwyo.edu

 

Women's Studies (WMST) Department

The Women's Studies Department offers students the opportunity to explore issues of gender and sexuality through a major, minor, and graduate program. The curriculum stimulates us to reflect and review on how our knowledge is gendered.

STOP Violence Project

This is a valuable resource for both women and men on campus. Located in the same area as the Women's Center and Adult Student Center. The site includes many resources and safety tips on stalking, domestic violence, and self-defense.

 

Strategic Diversity Initiatives Committee'(SDIC)

The Strategic Diversity Initiatives Committee (SDIC) is a continuation of the University of Wyoming's efforts related to strengthening diversity and inclusiveness.

 

UW Panhellenic Council

The Panhellenic Council serves as the student organization that governs all National Conference-recognized fraternities. Annual Panhellenic activities include formal and informal recruitment, Greek Week, and various community service events.


B.E.A.U.T.Y

Bodies of everyone are unique, thank you! B.E.A.U.T.Y's goal is to create awareness while celebrating the diversity of the human form. We will address stigma, stereotypes and obstacles to self acceptance and actualization.


Sexperts

Educates students on issues concerning sexuality, sexual responsibility and HIV/AIDS awareness.


Step Up!

The intention of the program is to facilitate knowledgeable interactions between trained UW students their peers through trainings as well as provide resources to those who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.


The Bettys

An exciting way for music and non-music alike to come together and have fun while exploring all different types of music. A way to share enthusiasm for music. A way to share enthusiasm for music with those around campus and the community.


The Heart to Heart Life Crusaders

To be available to university women who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy for services and resources.


Wyoming Collegiate Cattle Women

To Promote beef consumption, educate public campus about beef production, stewardship, food safety, animal welfare and nutrition


Naughty Pines Derby Dames

Promote teamwork, fitness, and the sport of roller derby while functioning as a nonprofit organization benefiting the Laramie Downtown Clinic.

Wyoming Women's Foundation

The Wyoming Women's Foundation makes grants that benefit women and girls as well as our communities overall. In partnering with the community foundation we share resources and expertise, making our organization's operations efficient and your contribution effective.


Wyoming Council for Women's Issues

The vision of the Wyoming Council for Women's Issues (WCWI) is to work to improve the quality and equality of life for Wyoming Women. WCWI focuses its actions on the needs and concerns of Wyoming women in the following areas: (1) employment practices, (2) educational opportunities, (3) home and community, and (4) legal rights and responsibilities.
