Phase I WORTH
Initiative Goals

  1. Stand up educational products and services such a Hospitality Management Certificate program, and other training programs, certifications, and certificates relevant to WORTH industries.
    • Hire an instructional designer, a professor of Practice for Hospitality, an internship coordinator, and a Graduate Assistant.
       
  2. In coordination and consultation with the WORTH Advisory Committee, develop and deploy applied research products and services.
    • Hire an economic analyst for the Center for Business and Economic Analysis, an assistant professor for sustainable tourism, and hire a GRA to support WORTH applied research.
       
  3. Hire and launch Wyoming’s first ever Tourism Extension Specialist position to support the industry state-wide.
     
  4. Develop a long-term funding strategy consisting of a mixture of self-generated fees, fees-for-service, block grant funds, corporate partnerships, and grants.
