  • CDC Health Brain Initiative Reports and Resources - includes the full report, the executive summary and five additional sources of information on the healthy brain and cognitive health.
  • Dementia Care Practice Recommendations - from the Alzheimer's Association, these recommendations were developed from the latest evidence in dementia care research and the experience of professional direct care experts.
  • Geriatric Assessment Tools:Dementia and Delirium - from the Iowa Geriatric Education Center, this page provides four tools for assessing dementia and delirium.
  • Guide to Dementia Diagnosis and Treatment - from the American Geriatrics Society, this guide provides information on the signs & symptoms, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of dementia. Included are resources for caregivers, and screening tools.
  • Guidelines for the Evaluation of Dementia and Age-Related Cognitive Decline - from the American Psychological Association, these guidelines were developed for psychologists who perform evaluations of dementia and age-related cognitive change.
  • Instruments to Detect Cognitive Impairment - "Clinicians and researchers can use this searchable database to identify published instruments for use in their outpatient practice or community studies. The database, which contains information about 134 instruments, was created by staff at the National Institute on Aging at NIH, in consultation with experts in the field.
  • World Alzheimer Report 2011 - from Alzheimer Disease International, this report shows "shows that there are interventions that are effective in the early stages of dementia, some of which may be more effective when started earlier, and that there is a strong economic argument in favour of earlier diagnosis and timely intervention."
