UW (Laramie campus) INBRE Undergraduate Research Fellowship Applications:

***The following INBRE undergraduate fellowship is open to any University of Wyoming rising SOPHOMORE, JUNIOR or SENIOR student located on the LARAMIE UW campus.***

The Idea Network for Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) program is funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH). Every Spring, Summer and Fall semesters, the Wyoming INBRE program at UW puts out a Request For Applications (RFA) for an INBRE undergraduate fellowship to  UW undergraduate students wishing to engage in biomedical research. Each semester, the INBRE program offers 10 Undergraduate fellowships. Fellowships for fall and spring are $800 (80 hours at $10/hour expected), and summer fellowships are $4,500 (all hours must be completed during the award period).
INBRE undergraduate fellowship applicants must all submit research proposals that deal exclusively with biomedically related questions and experimental research that seek to improve human health.

The deadline for submission of all complete INBRE undergraduate applications for FALL 2017 or FALL 2017/SPRING 2018 is MONDAY September 18 2017 by 5PM (MST).
Note that all application materials, including UW mentor’s commitment letter and two faculty reference letters must be submitted by this deadline to be considered for review.

Application Submission Process

1. Download the INBRE undergraduate fellowship application checklist. The application form will allow the applicant to upload all required documents (Résumé, Academic Transcripts, Research Proposal) that must be submitted as PDFs during the online application process. Information about the required Research Proposal format with writing guidelines are also provided, along with information pertinent to the content and submission of faculty reference letters.  

2. Ask your UW mentor and two UW and/or Wyoming Community College faculty to submit their letters of references through email to the INBRE office by the application deadline. (Contact: Dr. Annie Bergman, abergman@uwyo.edu)

3. Submit your application starting FALL 2017 or FALL 2017/SPRING 2018 INBRE Undergraduate Fellowship online (include 3 PDFs: 1. Resume, 2. Compiled school transcripts, 3. Research proposal).
