The X-ray Photoelectron
Spectroscopy Facility
at the University of Wyoming

The X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) Facility at the University of Wyoming houses the versatile Kratos Axis Ultra Dual-Line Detector (DLD) Spectrometer that brings powerful surface analysis to a wide variety of materials.  On top of standard x-ray spectroscopy, this instrument possesses parallel XPS imaging, ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS), auger electron spectroscopy (AES), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) capabilities.

This facility is made possible with support from the School of Energy Resources.

The XPS Facility is now open to clients both within and outside UW.   Contact the laboratory manager for details on tours, training, and independent access to the facility.
