Congratulations to Peng Yang and Qian Wang for their paper published in Geochim. Cosmochim. Acta.. This work is very interesting, showing that birnessite reacts with Mn(II) and thereby rapidly transforms to a tunneled Mn oxides of a large tunnel size at room temperature.  https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0016703718304423
