Michelle Hilaire, Faculty Fellow
Michelle Hilaire is a Clinical Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice in the School
of Pharmacy. She is also the current Associate Dean for Student Affairs in the College
of Health Sciences. Her research interests include diabetes and pain management,
and her academic interests include leadership development, faculty retention, and
mid-career achievement in academia. As a faculty fellow, her project will focus on
faculty retention looking at resiliency of post tenure/promote/extended term faculty
members and inclusion of all faculty on university sponsored opportunities. The purpose
of this project is to examine opportunities and strengthen relationships between department
chairs and faculty.
