The University of Wyoming is dedicated to preparing students for success beyond the classroom. Our Advising, Career, and Exploratory Studies Center (ACES) helps students explore career paths, connect with internships, prepare résumés, and build professional skills through one-on-one advising and career events.

In addition, many UW colleges have their own career counseling and internship services built into their student success centers, offering specialized guidance tailored to each field of study. From day one, students have access to the people and resources that help them turn their education into a meaningful career.

We have a variety of campus housing options for students. Freshmen are required to live on campus. We have our newest residence halls North and South along with our Legacy Hall White Hall. Students who elect to pursue the Honors college can also elect to pursue Honors housing in the Tobin house. Upperclassmen have the option to live in these halls as well. They also have the opportunity to apply for a UW apartment Bison Run, River Village, and Landmark Village.

Laramie and the University of Wyoming both provide safety and security for students. Campus residences offer locking doors that are unlocked only with the specific student ID for that residence. The largest crime in Laramie is bike theft, be sure to lock your bike!

A lot of outdoor recreation is in our backyard. We are surrounded by 2.9 million acres of public land which allows our students to explore the great outdoors often. Hiking, biking, camping, fishing, skiing, snowboarding and plenty others all within 30-45 minutes! Check out the Outdoor Program for guided and group excursions.
