Onboarding is how we create an overarching experience for new students who are attending the University of Wyoming for the upcoming fall semester. Instead of hosting a single orientation day in the summer, we have created a three-part onboarding opportunity for you to get excited about your journey to UW along with informational and engaging experiences that prepare you for college student life!
If you were unable to attend one of our Admitted Student Day events, don't panic! New first-time students should continue to check their email (including spam/junk folders) for communication from their advisor about setting up a virtual advising appointment.
We'll be hosting a series of short webinars for families and new students to get specific details about resources for new students. You won't want to miss these!
Saddle Up College Preparation Camp
Required for all incoming first-year students
This required camp allows incoming students to move into the dorms a full week early and will prepare students for the demands of college life.

As part of your journey to the University of Wyoming, we will be hosting virtual onboarding for incoming students throughout the summer. This is an excellent time for you and your family to sit down together for short online sessions that cover all you need to know including parking, student ID, and other services! Stay tuned for important updates as we get closer to summer 2022 for a full schedule and list of webinars about campus!

Saddle Up is a required camp for first-year students that will help you develop skills necessary for success in college. This program is required for all incoming freshmen as we will not be hosting an in-person orientation. You’ll also be able to move into our residence halls early so you can get to know your new classmates! More information will be sent out throughout the summer.
UW has partnered with ZeeMee, a free app for the ultimate college journey, where you can chat with other students getting ready to attend college. All you need is your smartphone and a cell phone number to get started!
