We aim to provide networking and unique, hands-on educational opportunities for any students interested in the sheep, lamb, and wool industries.
Collegiate Lamb Growers is a recognized student organization at the University of Wyoming open to any students interested in all aspects of the sheep, lamb, and wool industries. Our main goal is to educate students on the vastness of the sheep industry in the United States and to provide opportunities for networking with industry professionals. We also aim to provide club trips to different sheep operations, feedlots, and lamb plants throughout western US and host guest speakers in the industry. Additionally, Collegiate Lamb Growers places an emphasis on the lamb meat industry and the important role it holds within the world's protein supply. The club hosts several demonstrations throughout the school year inducing sheep handling, lamb carcass fabrication and processing, wool evaluation, and many more.
Meetings are held every other Tuesday in the LREC Main Office at 5:15pm.
