Visual Arts Fall Events

The exhibition will remain open for viewing until early November. The Gallery is typically open Monday to Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. The Main Gallery is located on the western wall of the Visual Arts Lobby.

Kick off Fall 2026 with the Visual Arts Welcome Back  Picnic to celebrate the arrival and return of VA students. Meet the VA Faculty, your peers, and learn more about the department. The picnic starts at 6:00 P.M. in the Visual Arts Lobby.

Join New York City artist Greg Henderson to learn how to build eccentric bikes. Event Details: TBA.

Join us in the Visual Arts Auditorium, VA 111, for the opportunity to learn more about Visiting Artist Kevin Sloan's work. The talk will last from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. An Online option is available-link TBD.

The Department invited Visual Art students to meet with Visiting Artist Kevin Sloan on October 6 & 8, from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Facilitators will post a sign-up sheet outside the Visual Arts Main Office, VA 110.

Celebrate Kevin Sloan's Exhibition from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. in the Visual Arts Main Lobby.

Join Visiting Artist Kevin Sloan for a hands-on workshop from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Lunch will be included; details TBA.

At the end of October, Visual Arts faculty and students led a two-day art intensive for Wyoming High School students.

Join Professors Ashley Hope Carlisle and David Jones and the UW Club Sculpture Society Students for the annual Iron Pour, located in the Outside Sculpture Studio on the North side of the Visual Art Building. 

Join David Eaton, the mural artist for new UW dorms, for their Visiting Artist Talk on November 9 from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M., in the Visual Arts Auditorium, VA111. An Online option is available-link TBD.

Curated by Printmakers Ryan O’Malley and Cassie White, Earthborn will remain on display until mid-December. The Gallery is typically open Monday to Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., & is located on the western wall of the Visual Arts Lobby.

Participate in the "By Western Hands" Workshop Series held in the Visual Arts Building throughout the week; details TBA.

The Department of Visual Arts will screen "Made in the West," in the Visual Arts Auditorium, VA111, from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.

The Department of Visual Arts is excited for a night of Earthborn - Group Printmaking Exhibition, beginning with a reception in the Visual Arts Lobby from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

An Earthborn Panel Discussion featuring Ryan O’Malley and Cassie White will follow the reception from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Visual Arts Auditorium, VA111. An Online option is available-link TBD.
