The group of artists and programmers known collectively as NonCoreProjector have been employing artificial intelligence (AI) in conceptual art installations for the last five years. This latest site-specific iteration takes the local Laramie police radio as the starting point for a journey that invites the viewer deep into the “mind” of the algorithm-centric inter-web, the result of which is so far removed from the original text we might forget how we got there; mirroring our everyday interactions with the internet and social media.

This audiovisual exhibition provokes questions, fears, and excitement about AI that are deeply engrained in our culture through films like 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Terminator. Experience Rec Lobe TV at the Art Museum to witness an entirely digital conversation between the AI Cleverbot and human-created web content, presented in an abstracted audiovisual cacophony.
