Contact the Facility Management Team to inquire about general questions around utilization of the facility's research aircraft and instrumentation.
The Engineering Support and Maintenance Group:
- integrates instrumentation into the aircraft, from mechanical and electrical design to machining parts and installation
- determines the requirements for integrating user-supplied instrumentation
- supports projects during the field phase which includes troubleshooting and finding solutions for issues with aircraft systems and instrumentation
- performs maintenance and inspection of the aircraft
The Project Science and Operations Group:
- provides expertise in instrumentation to assist in payload configurations and installations
- operates, maintains, and processes data of facility-owned instruments
- serves as mission scientist during projects to support facility-owned instruments
- operates the aircraft
