University Studies courses fulfill university requirements for such areas as science, quantitative reasoning, writing, and cultural context. All students at UW must complete the University Studies Program (USP) to ensure they are well-grounded scholars.

Math Placement All students entering the College of Business will be required to take mathematics courses as part of their college requirements. It is necessary to determine the math skill level to place the student into the appropriate level math course to ensure their academic success. To accomplish this, we utilize a variety of tools both before the student arrives on campus such as ACT, SAT or GRE scores, eligible transfer credits from other colleges, universities or AP programs and once the student arrives using our own online placement exam or one of the proctored exams such as Accuplacer or Compass.
